Wednesday, July 20, 2005 SEC May Act Soon on Soft Dollars The SEC is poised to take action on the soft dollar issue as early as the end of this month, reported Reuters. According to Reuters, the often divided group of commissioners has been considering the issue for months and have reached consensus. Last fall, a task force recommended that the SEC limit the types of services that can be bought by soft dollars and bolster disclosure about soft dollars in fund documents.
