Wednesday, July 20, 2005 Ameriprise Hires Two Sales Execs Ameriprise Financial, the new name for American Express Financial Advisors, has hired two sales executives for distribution of proprietary products, according to a release. Jeff McGregor will take responsibility for proprietary wholesaling efforts of mutual funds, annuities and insurance as vice president and national sales manager at Ameriprise. McGregor will work to develop sales of the products through Ameriprise's advisor channel. McGregor was formerly a president at AXA Financial, responsible for product distribution. An AXA Financial spokesperson did not immediately return a call seeking comment on his replacement. Ameriprise has also brought on an executive for distribution of products outside of the Ameriprise advisor channel. Marty Griffin has joined as a vice president and general manager. Griffin formerly led the development of Genworth's GE Retirement Answer product. A Genworth spokesman did not immediately return a call seeking comment.
