Tuesday, September 20, 2005 SEC to Meet on Soft Dollar Issue The SEC will consider soft dollar practices in an open meeting on Wednesday morning. The meeting will be open to the public for viewing via webcast. Specifically, the "Commission will consider whether to propose interpretive guidance and solicit comment regarding the scope of “brokerage and research services” within Section 28(e) of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934," according to a meeting agenda posted on the SEC website.
