Friday, October 7, 2005 Morgan's Financial Empire Reunited? Could the House of Morgan be reunited? An analyst report got traders on Wall Street wondering whether JPMorgan Chase and Morgan Stanley would be good merger partners. The speculation was started by analysis in a report written by Mike Mayo, an equity research analyst at Prudential Equity Group. Mayo wrote that the two firms could achieve cost savings of about $4.6 billion annually if they merged. He also believes that both firms will need to merge if they are to grow. Neither firm commented to the media on the report. Printed from: MFWire.com/story.asp?s=10616 Copyright 2005, InvestmentWires, Inc. All Rights Reserved |
