Friday, December 9, 2005 Janus Adds to Institutional Sales Team Janus Capital is continuing to build its sales force. The fund firm's latest hire, Brad Gillman, will focus on the institutional market. Gillman takes the newly created position of vice president and director of consultant relations at Janus Institutional Asset Management. He will report to Carolyn Patton, vice president and global director of consultant relations. Based in San Francisco, California, Gillman will be responsible for providing guidance to manager research professionals and field consultants on the company’s institutional offerings. In addition, he will serve as an internal resource for institutional sales, portfolio management and client service professionals, facilitating interactions with consulting firms. "It's an exciting time at Janus Institutional Asset Management," Gillman said in a statement. "I'm looking forward to building on a strong franchise and helping grow the Janus Institutional business through the Janus, INTECH and Perkins Wolf and McDonnell products with the leading and most sophisticated investment consultants in the industry." An 11-year industry veteran, Gillman was most recently a director of institutional client services at Artisan Partners in San Francisco. Prior to that, he worked for six years at AllianceBernstein as vice president, working on institutional sales and consultant relations teams.
