Wednesday, December 21, 2005 Standish Mellon Names Sales Director Mellon Financial Corp. has appointed Eric Knutzen director of sales, marketing and client service of its Standish Mellon Asset Management subsidiary. He reports to Mitchell Harris, Standish Mellon CEO. Knutzen, whose responsibilities include overseeing the unit’s new business development and relationship management personnel, filled the post vacated by John Clavin, who is no longer with the company. Prior to joining Mellon, Knutzen managed Garret Capital Management LLC, a hedge fund company he founded. Before that, he had a nine-year stint at Putnam Investments, where he held a number of positions including managing director of institutional portfolio management and investment services and managing director of client service and sales support.
