Tuesday, May 30, 2006 A Too-Long Weekend for AIG Law firm Schiffrin & Barroway, LLP celebrated Memorial Day weekend by announcing two more class action suits against American International Group, this time on behalf of the purchasers of Scudder and WM mutual funds. Both were filed in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York, as was the kickoff to Schiffrin & Barroway’s string of suits earlier this month, in which they filed on behalf of Fidelity fund purchasers. The NASD last year fined AIG for preferential treatment of the “Shelf-Space Funds,” representing 19 companies, in exchange for directed brokerage.
