Friday, June 16, 2006 EM Panic Passes Month Mark Investors running scared from emerging markets equity and bond funds are breaking longer-standing records. The week ending May 24 saw the biggest 7-day net outflows in two years, and now that the doldrums have hit the month mark, withdrawals have hit a new four-week record. Investors have taken $14 billion from these funds in the month up to Friday, the largest amount relative to total assets since Emerging Portfolio Fund Research began tracking weekly EM data in mid-2000, the firm's managing director told Reuters.
