Thursday, April 5, 2007 Performance Fees Proliferate Performance based fees are proliferating further in the fund industry, reports the Chicago Tribune. Charles Schwab & Co. last month expanded the number of its funds that refund the previous quarter's management fee to dissatisfied investors to 16. Fidelity has been using this fee structure since the 70's and in February adopted it for 19 additional funds. In other words, some were doing it and now some more are doing it.
