Wednesday, April 25, 2007 Campos Challenges Cox's Consensus Campaign Roel Campos, SEC Commission member, is throwing a wrench in Chritopher Cox's consensus campaign. Bloomberg reports that Campos is the first commissioner to break ranks on the issue of limitations on staff attorneys' ability to set corporate fines. Campos stated his main concern is "that this prescreening process may intervene and disrupt the formulation of the best judgment and recommendation of our professional staff."
