Thursday, July 31, 2008 SEC Proposes Soft Dollars Guidance The SEC is soliciting comments until October 1 on guidance it proposed Wednesday aimed at helping fund directors in overseeing the fund's use of soft dollars. The commission came out with guidance for investment advisers two years ago. The guidance released Wednesday included the information a directors should seek from the fund's investment adviser to help them evaluate the adviser's procedures on best execution obligations.
