The WSJ's Fund Track column details a number of ETF funding deals, including ones led by Donald Putnam's Grail Partners (which invested in XShares) and Atlantic-Pacific Capital Inc. (which led a $56 million investment round in WisdomTree Investments Inc.) and FTVentures (it bought into ETF Securities Ltd. and in 2005, Powershares).
