Tuesday, June 12, 2007 Fidelity Tries Out Financial Planning Fidelity is trying its hand at the financial planning, but is seeing little or no short term gains. The Boston Business Journal reports that this is all part of a carefully calculated trial plan by Fidelity which could result in huge profits if it takes off. Here's how it works; Fidelity's brokerage division goes through its database to idenlify wealthy individuals who might be interested in a broader lineup of financial planning services. Those individuals are then referred to managers who use Fidelity's proprietary products. The Journal adds that in recent years this sort of approach has worked for Boston Private Financial Holdings, and AMG. Printed from: MFWire.com/story.asp?s=14686 Copyright 2007, InvestmentWires, Inc.
