Monday, July 30, 2007 Investors Want Corporate Accountants to Keep Their SOX On Paul Sarbanes, Maryland's former Democratic senator and chairman of the Senate Banking Committee, and Michael Oxley, a former Ohio Republican who chaired the House Financial Services Committee, are still heros to investors nearly five years after they co-sponsored the Sarbanes-Oxley Act. Dow Jones reports that a telephone survey conducted in July by the Center for Audit Quality found that -- 60 percent of investors are more confident in audited financial information issued by public companies than in the past.
