In Thursday's WSJ Fund Track column, Ian Salisbury muses on whether ETFs will lose two of their biggest advantages when they go active. The new actively managed ETFs will have to pay for a portfolio manager, which could put their fees in the range of traditional mutual funds. Salisbury also points out that active ETFs may be less tax efficient that traditional ETFs, depending on how often they trade.
