Monday, February 11, 2008 12b-1 Fees to Bloom Early this Year The SEC has decided to try, try again to revamp 12b-1 fees. The WSJ reports that, in a speech Friday at the Practising Law Institute's annual "SEC Speaks" conference, commissioner Christopher Cox said he would like a "complete overhaul" of the controversial fees to be considered by springtime. Cox also sees a summer deadline for the SEC to make online information available about broker-sold funds and to finalize the summary form prospectus proposal. One final prediction from Cox is that the SEC will have two Democrats weighing in when these decisions are made. Printed from: MFWire.com/story.asp?s=17370 Copyright 2008, InvestmentWires, Inc.
