In it, Ian Salisbury writes that high borrowing costs have already prompted at least one fund, the New America High Income Fund, to lower dividends. He adds that other companies--such as Nuveen Investments, Eaton Vance and Aberdeen Asset Management--have disclosed plans to redeem some expensive forms of debt and search for cheaper ways to borrow.
