Friday, March 28, 2008 Schwab Bond Fund Falls Hard The Schwab YieldPlus ultra-short bond fund is feeling the sting of the credit crisis especially hard. Morningstar reports that fund has lost 16.8 percent of its assets YTD. Last June assets in were at $13.5 billion. By March 20, the fund held just $2.5 billion. Morningstar doesn't see a turnaround in the fund's future either, saying that many of the fund's losses are already locked in.
