SGI Taps Two Institutional Sales Vets for Biz Dev Roles


Security Global Investors, the asset management arm of Security Benefit Corporation, has hired two new sales pros. John Dodd and Sanjay Yodh have both joined the firm as managing directors of new business development.

Dodd will focus on sales efforts to consultants, not-for-profit organizations, family offices, public funds, and corporate pension plans. He was previously did institutional sales for U.S. Trust Asset Management, Friess Associates, and The Boston Company.

Yodh will be tasked with increasing the distribution of SGI's global alternative investment products. He has institutional sales experience with both J.P. Morgan and Deutsche Asset Management.

In the past few months, SGI has been concentrating on building out its portfolio and sales teams. Last November the company hired a nine-person growth equity portfolio management team from Nationwide. In September of the same year, the company hired Marc Zeitoun from UBS to head up of product development and platform distribution.

Also adding to SGI's repertoire of investment products and capabilities was its purchase of Rydex in June of 2007.
