Friday, July 18, 2008 Putnam Pushes a New Product The revamped Putnam Investments is launching a new fund. Morningstar's Fund Times reports that the new Putnam Total Return Fund will be helmed by Jeff Knight and his co-managers include: James Fetch, Robert Kea, Rob Schoen, and Jason Vaillancourt. The fund will carry a front-end load of 153 bps. A launch date has not yet been disclosed. Putnam has been under new leadership for several weeks now with Bob Reynolds taking the reins in the beginning of the month. At the time of his hire, Reynolds told reporters that Putnam would be adding to its product line in the next six months.
