Tuesday, July 29, 2008 Fund Invests in a Novel Take on Congress While fundies were preparing for their Memorial Day weekend back in May the launch of a novel kind of mutual fund went unnoticed. The Congressional Effect Fund, advised by Congressional Effect Management, LLC, was launched on May 23. Thomas Paine's philosophy of "the government is best that governs least," guides the fund's investments. The "congressional effect" of course refers to the effect Congress' decisions or lack thereof has on the equities markets. The fund is the only one for the shop.
