Friday, August 15, 2008 Bent Remembers Brown Four days after the passing of Reserve Fund co-founder Henry Brown, Reserve chairman Bruce Bent spoke with The MFWire about his partner and longtime friend. "I thoroughly enjoyed working with him and our 45-year friendship," Bent said in a phone interview with The MFWire Friday morning. "He was a brilliant guy who said it like it was." Brown died Monday at the age of 82 (see The MFWire, August 15, 2008). Bent and Brown created the Reserve Fund in 1970. "In the beginning the only reason we survived is because we were unencumbered by the knowledge of what we were doing," Bent said. He praised Brown as a "man of high talent and integrity."
