Wednesday, August 20, 2008 Reserve's New Sales Head Plans to Expand Team The Reserve is on the hunt for a sales pro to lead the bank channel, the company's new managing director and global head of sales John Drahzal told The MFWire. Drahzal is also planning to make other additions across all channels. In an interview on Wednesday, Drahzal, who joined the company on July 28, said the bank channel is an important focus for the firm. "We are making a significant investment in this channel," he said. "We are in the process of searching for someone to run the bank channel," he added. The Reserve also plans to add wholesalers to this group. In addition, the New York City firm plans to expand its institutional and international wholesaling teams. Drahzal says that although the company plans to add to the institutional channel, it may not be immediate. The international channel is also a priority for The Reserve. "There is so much opportunity in this space," Drahzal said. The company will be hiring an unspecified number of wholesalers for its London office. Drahzal's own appointment was announced Tuesday by The Reserve (see The MFWire, August 19, 2008). Previously, he was served as director of distribution for JennisonDryden funds.
