Tuesday, March 17, 2009 Janus' Plan Attracts WSJ's Attention Janus Capital Group's revelation Monday of its plan to merge its two fund trusts this summer (see The MFWire, 03/16/09) was picked up by Daisy Maxey in the Tuesday edition of the Wall Street Journal Fund Track column. The planned merger on or about July 6 of the Janus Adviser Series fund trust into the Janus Investment fund trust is the Denver-based company's response to investor migration into advice-driven channels, executives said. "Our distribution model has moved pretty strongly down the advisory path, the institutional and third-party path," Drew Elder, senior vice president of product strategy and development, told Maxey.
