Friday, March 20, 2009 Neuberger Berman Shifts to Being Load-Focused All equity funds in Neuberger Berman's roster will carry A and C shares going forward, Morningstar's Katie Rushkewicz reports. The A shares will come with a front-end load of 575 basis points and C shares will have a 100 basis point deferred sales charge. Neuberger plans to halt sales of no-load shares to the public soon, with the exception being grandfathered shareholders who made their purchase before March 1, 2008. The shift comes as no surprise to industry observers. "The change is not a huge shock because the firm's recent fund launches have had a similar fee structure," Rushkewicz writes.
