Friday, June 5, 2009 WSJ Anoints a New Mutual Funds Editor The monthly mutual funds section at the Wall Street Journal has a new chief. Karen Damato, the news editor currently working at the Journal's Sunday edition, confirmed to MFWire that she will now oversee the monthly mutual funds section. The 401kWire that the previous monthly mutual funds section editor, Leslie Scism, will switch to reporting for the money and investing section. Damato isn't completely new to the mutual funds section. She revealed that she temporarily ran the section from October 2008 to March 1, 2009, and she will be transitioning into the role this month. Cristina Lourosa-Ricardo will take Damato's duties at the Sunday section, Damato confirmed, though Damato will continue to serve as a backup editor to the Sunday WSJ.
