Tuesday, September 22, 2009 Report IDs Janus CEO Recruiter Janus' board has tapped Prince Houston Group to find a permanent CEO, according to a published report. The hire will take the reins from Tim Armour, who replaced former CEO Gary Black on a temporary basis last July. The search is currently one of the highest profile executive hunts in the mutual fund industry. InvestmentNews reported that The Prince Houston Group of New York (formerly PrinceGoldsmith) won the mandate for the hunt. That article characterized its sources as "close to the firm" but did not further identify them. The Prince Houston Group may be best known as the firm that recruited Vikram S. Pandit for Citigroup. Mohamed A. El-Erian was also identified by the firm when he was hired by Harvard Management Co. in 2005. El-Erian has since joined Pimco as its CEO.
