Monday, February 1, 2010 Eaton Vance Names its New Head Marketer After nearly a year-long search, Eaton Vance Distributors has found a new chief marketing officer. The Boston fund firm brought on board iShares marketing guru Paul Nobile, Eaton Vance spokeswoman Robyn Tice confirmed to The MFWire. Nobile reports to Matt Witkos, president of Eaton Vance Distributors.
The CMO post had been open since March of last year, with the departure of Stephen Barrett. At BGI, Nobile was head of global brand marketing, in charge of the the iShares brand globally and the Barclays brand in North America. He played a key role in sponsorship deals, including the Barclays Golf Tournament, the Barclays Center (the future home of the Nets in Brooklyn) and the Tribeca Film Festival.
