Thursday, May 30, 2002 SSRM Renames Fund State Street Research & Management Company (SSRM) has renamed the State Street Research Strategic Growth & Income Fund to State Street Research Asset Allocation Fund. The portfolio managers will continue to follow the same philosophy and style as an asset allocation fund investing in a mix of stocks, bonds and other securities. "State Street Research has renamed this fund to more accurately reflect the fund's investment process," explained Kevin Wilkins, a managing director at the firm. "We have found that our shareholders and financial professionals prefer more literal fund names that are representative of the fund's investment strategy."
