Wednesday, June 5, 2002 Putnam Taps New CIO Putnam Investments named Brian P. O'Toole chief investment officer of large-cap growth equities investing. O'Toole is a veteran from Citigroup Asset Management, where he was a managing director and head of U.S. growth equities. Before joining Citigroup in 1998, O'Toole held portfolio management positions with Northern Trust Company in Chicago. In his new role, O'Toole will lead a six-member portfolio management team that oversees $35 billion in assets. He is scheduled to join Putnam on June 17.
