He will continue to hold on as president. Edge is stepping in for Robert Meuleman, who held the posts of chairman and ceo. Meuleman will continue on as chairman until he fully retires at the end of the calendar year. "After more than 20 years at Amcore, I made a personal decision to retire early and devote more time to my family," Meuleman said in a statement. "Ken has been a trusted friend and colleague and is a very experienced financial services executive who is dedicated to Amcore's success. He has the leadership and insight to move our Company into its next stage of growth." Amcore is headquartered in Rockford, Illinois.
