Wednesday, March 17, 2010 A CIO is the Latest to Depart Fidelity The former chief investment officer of Fidelity's international funds here in the U.S. is headed out the door. As noted by Reuters Tuesday, Eric Wetlaufer, oversaw international fund for U.S. investors, is leaving at the end of March. Wetlaufer joined the company during a 2005 restructuring, before which he was the manager of Putnam's Vista Fund and the company's CIO. He has left Fidelity to "pursue other professional opportunities," spokeswoman Anne Crowley told the wire service. Fidelity is currently searching for his replacement. With the recent executive unrest at Fidelity, Wetlaufer will likely depart at the same time as company president Roger Lawson, who said in January that he would leave this month.
