Tuesday, April 6, 2010 Van Eck to Launch a Latin America Small-Cap ETF Van Eck Global is set to accompany the launch of its latest ETF with a press event tomorrow. The firm will welcome the Market Vectors Latin America Small-Cap Index ETF tomorrow morning at Van Eck's headquarters in Midtown Manhattan. Consul General of Mexico Ruben Beltran will appear along with Van Eck Global director of ETF Sales Adam Phillips to discuss why the firm has decided to invest in Latin American small-caps. The new fund will seek to replicate the price and yield performance of the Market Vectors Latin America Small-Cap Index. Van Eck will serve as the advisor, distributor and administrator for the fund, and The Bank of New York Mellon will serve as custodian and transfer agent.
