Tuesday, April 13, 2010 Reuters Retools Platform for Fund Managers Upgrades to Reuters's pricing and reference data platform will be a boon to mutual fund managers, the news service claims. Today, Reuters said in a release that its DataScope Select platform will now provide validated end-of-day prices within 30 minutes of market close, as well as a universal close price field. That means U.S. mutual fund managers and administrators will be able to retrieve close price data at 4:30 p.m. Eastern time, streamlining their reporting of net asset value. Reuters claims the DataScope enhancements should simplify the auditing process, reduce operational risk, and reduce costs for fund managers.
