Tuesday, May 25, 2010 Virtus Retail Distribution EVP Moves On A top fund distribution executive has left Virtus Investment Partners. The mutual fund firm confirmed that J. Steven Neamtz departed last Friday. Neamtz was replaced by Jeffrey Cerutti who will start on June 1 and was most recently at UBS Asset Management. Cerutti's hiring was announced on Monday. A spokesperson for the company declined to discuss Neamtz' plans or why he left the firm. Neamtz had held the title of executive vice president, Retail Distribution and reported to George R. Aylward, president and CEO. "We appreciate the efforts Steve provided the distribution teams and we wish him well in the future," Aylward stated.
