Thursday, June 10, 2010 Van Eck Brings Down Expense Caps for Three ETFs Van Eck Global yesterday lowered expense caps for three of its ETFs. Expense caps went from 71 bps to 65 bps for the Market Vectors Brazil Small-Cap ETF, from 76 bps to 65 bps for the Market Vectors Poland ETF and from 97 bps to 76 bps for the Market Vectors Vietnam ETF. "International funds generally have higher net expense ratios than domestic funds, but we try to pass on lower expenses to shareholders when we achieve economies of scale," stated Jan van Eck, principal at the New York City-based firm. The Brazil Small-Cap ETF had AUM of $614 million as of end-May, the Poland ETF had $27 million and the Vietnam ETF had $139 million.
