Thursday, June 17, 2010 Dreyfus Looks to Broaden its Absolute-Return Fund Roster Dreyfus Corp., which currently offers two absolute-return funds, is looking at expanding that number. CEO Jon Baum told InvestmentNews that the BNY Mellon unit is exploring the idea of offering pension-style absolute-return mutual funds. Baum told the pub that the new offerings would be more "solutions-based" than the ones already in Dreyfus' product menu. "For example, we are looking at how to create the 'I want to send my kid to college' fund or 'I want to retire in 15 years' fund," he said.
