Friday, June 25, 2010 Putnam Says Goodbye to a Research Chief Putnam's director of global large-cap equity research is jumping to Fidelity. Fidelity spokesman Vin Loporchio confirmed that Andrew Matteis will join Pyramis Global Advisors (Fidelity's institutional-only investment management team) as director of research in August, reporting to Pyramis chief investment officer Young Chin. Putnam spokeswoman Laura McNamara confirmed that Matteis' last day at Putnam is Monday. "A search is underway, both internally and externally," McNamara said of Matteis' post. Loporchio told The MFWire that Matteis' post at Pyramis is "essentially new," as Chin himself had previously directly led the research effort.
