Friday, July 30, 2010 Vanguard Twitters Away Another giant mutual fund firm just joined the ranks of those tweeting. On Tuesday Vanguard launched its Twitter feed, "Vanguard_Group", to "routinely 'tweet' about personal finance, investing and economic news." Vanguard tapped a team of six to tweet: Maria Bruno, Liqian Ren and David Stinnett, all analysts; Alba Martinez, head of Vanguard's "retail services contact center"; Andy Clarke, a principal in corporate communications; and Rebecca Katz, a principal from public relations. As of 8:38am eastern time today, Vanguard's feed has attracted 472 followers. Fundsters interested in following Vanguard's tweets should make sure they pick the right feed, though. Vanguard's feed is "Vanguard_Group", not to be confused with: "TheVanguard", the feed of a self-described "Indie/Electro/Pop" band; "@current/Vanguard"; or "@_Vanguard_".
