Tuesday, August 3, 2010 Some Plan Sponsors are Slow to Relight their 401k Match While companies and shareholders are enjoying surging dividends and profits in current market conditions, some plan participants are still waiting for a restoration of their 401(k) match. This morning's Wall Street Journal Fund track article highlighted a few plan sponsors such as FedEx Corp., United Parcel Service Inc., and Honeywell International Inc. who have experienced upticks in their stock prices but have yet to translate that into restoring their participants' 401(k) matches. The article also cites surveys from Fidelity Investments , Towers Watson, and Human Resource Management, all pointing to slow-than-expected or no restoration of 401(k) matches at all for plan participants.
