Tuesday, September 28, 2010 Columbia Puts a Number on Fund Shareholder Savings Columbia Management [see profile] officials expect fee changes and fund mergers to yield annual savings of about $30 million per year for mutual-fund shareholders, the Wall Street Journal reports. In addition to the fund mergers announced in August, Columbia is planning nine more mergers. Chris Thompson, Columbia's head of product management, told the WSJ that there could be one or two more moves that will be announced this fall.
