Friday, February 11, 2011 Russell Snags a New York Life Wholesaler Tom Flynn joined Russell Investments last month in a newly created role as a regional director in Russell's advisor-sold private client services business, The 401kWire has learned. He reports to George Whitmore, director of the eastern division. Jordan McKerney, a Russell spokesperson, told The 401kWire in an email reply that the newly created position was part of Russell’s efforts to expand its client-facing capacity. "Russell has added 15 new regional directors in the past year and doubled the number of client-facing territories in the field," she said. Previously, Flynn served as regional vice president at Mainstay Investments/New York Life Investments where he marketed mutual funds and separately managed accounts to advisors in all channels in the Mid-Atlantic region. A New York Life spokesman was not immediately available to comment on how Flynn's former duties are being handled at the firm.
