Wednesday, October 2, 2002 Rydex Responds to Rebalancing Issue Rydex recently launched the Rydex Core Equity Fund, which invests equally in five styles representing the U.S. equity market, to address the rebalancing conumdrum. The five investment styles are large-cap value, mid-cap value, small-cap value, large-cap growth and mid-cap growth. The fund will automatically rebalance to maintain the equal weighting. "If investors learned one lesson from the 1990s stock market, it should be the importance of rebalancing," said Charles Tennes, director of portfolio management at Rydex, in a release. "However, many investors have struggled with implementing a rebalancing strategy because selling winners is so contrary to human nature." After much research, the firm, which offers 34 investment products, decided to exclude the small-cap growth category. Printed from: MFWire.com/story.asp?s=3620 Copyright 2002, InvestmentWires, Inc.
