Wednesday, March 30, 2011 Rydex Drops 12b-1 Fees From a Fund Rydex [see profile] just slashed the price of A-shares for a money market fund. Yesterday the Guggenheim subsidiary revealed that on January 3 it eliminated the 25-basis-point 12b-1 fee for the Rydex Series Funds U.S. Government Money Market Fund's A shares, reducing its expense ratio to 93 bps [see filing] (C shares of the fund cost 193 bps, thanks to a trail of 100 bps). The MFWire could not immediately reach a Rydex spokesperson for comment on the move. The money fund boasts about $1.05 billion in assets.
