Friday, August 5, 2011 Pimco Preps a Trio of Bond ETFs Pimco [see profile] is going north, west and down under with its proposed ETF offerings. The Newport Beach, California-based bond fund giant filed papers with the SEC to launch PIMCO Canada Bond Index Fund, PIMCO Germany Bond Index Fund and PIMCO Australia Bond Index Fund. The filing did not list the expense ratios for the funds. ETF Database picked up on Pimco's filing. The pub notes that unlike many other industrialized nations, these three countries have few issues with credit downgrades making them stable choices for bond investors.
