Tuesday, September 20, 2011 S&P Reveals Finalists for Mutual Fund Awards It's the mutual fund version of the Academy Awards. Standard & Poor’s Capital IQ has unveiled 30 finalists in its second annual U.S. mutual fund excellence awards program. Click here to view the full list. There are three finalists in each of the 10 categories: Domestic Equity Large Cap, Domestic Equity Mid Cap, Domestic Equity Small Cap, Domestic Equity Multi Cap, Global Equity, International Equity, Taxable Fixed Income, Blended Funds of Funds, Blended Individual Securities and New and Notable. S&P will name the gold, silver, and bronze awardees in each category on October 17. The funds are selected for most consistently achieving a five-star ranking during the measurement year based on proprietary, quantitative S&P research that shows strong performance and quality.
