Allianz filed for its AZL Pyramis Core Bond Fund, which will invest in investment-grade debt securities. The fund will be subadvised by Pyramis Global Advisors. Ford O'Neil, Pramod Atluri and Michael Plage serve as the fund's PMs. [SEC Filing] Dreman Contrarian Funds [profile] just launched its Domestic Large Cap Over-Reaction Fund which seeks total return through investing in large-cap companies. The fund is managed by David Dreman, E. Clifton Hoover and Jason Altman. [SEC Filing] PowerShares filed for its S&P 500 Downside Hedged Portfolio, an actively managed ETF which seeks total returns. The fund will use a strategy that is designed to provide returns which correspond with its benchmark, the S&P 500 Dynamic VEQTOR Index. The fund will be advised by Invesco PowerShares Capital Management and managed by Peter Hubbard, Brian McGreal, Jeffrey Kernagis and Theodore Samulowitz.
