Wednesday, August 29, 2012 WisdomTree Still Seeks Its COO Nearly a month after former WisdomTree president and COO Bruce Lavine stepped down and Jonathan Steinberg succeeded him as president, the company still has not appointed a new COO. A WisdomTree spokesman told MFWire that the COO search is "still ongoing." Levine's plans to step down as president and COO were first announced over four months ago, in a company press release. Another SEC filing, from April 26, said that the search for a new COO had already commenced. Despite leaving his post as president, Lavine still has a three-year contract to serve as the company's vice chairman, according to the employment agreement filed with the SEC on April 24. Steinberg is a founder of WisdomTree and has been CEO since 1988. Lavine left his role in order to return to California for family reasons, according to the SEC filing.
