Tuesday, October 16, 2012 Dai-ichi Now Owns More Than 15 Percent of Janus The Dai-ichi Life Insurance Company now owns 15.1 percent of Janus [profile], or 30,497,546 common shares, according to a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. The Japanese insurer bought 800,000 shares alone on October 15 and October 16. In August, Dai-ichi announced that it was going to buy "at least 15 percent and no more than 20 percent" of Janus common stock.
