Thursday, November 8, 2012 Vanguard Expert Foresees a Fund's Reopening Vanguard [profile] watcher Dan Wiener's latest email newsletter predicts that the mutual fund giant could re-open the Vanguard High-Yield Corporate fund, possibly with a new manager. Vanguard closed the fund to new money in late May. But money has flown out and now Wiener thinks it's ready to be re-opened. As for the possibility of another manager joining the fund, Wiener says "it would be their first foray into multi-management on the fixed-income side of the house. I'm not saying it's going to happen just yet. but they're out there beating the bushes for other, outside junk managers who can complement Michael Hong's lower-risk style."
